PHILIDELPHIA, PA – On July 23rd, 2024, three C-RAC presidents—Dr. Heather F. Perfetti (Middle States Commission of Higher Education), Dr. Barbara Gellman-Danley (Higher Learning Commission), and Dr. Larry Schall (New England Commission of Higher Education)—presented at the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) 2024 Annual Conference.
Taken together, accreditation and integrated planning are mutually reinforcing practices working toward the same ends: institutional health, student success, and innovation in the service of mission. Many of the components of integrated planning are embedded in institutional accrediting body standards, and adopting integrated planning practices can streamline accreditation processes. The session, titled “Accreditation, Integrated Planning, and Institutional Thriving: A Conversation,” covered planning, accreditation, and the current higher education landscape.
